Rock and Alternative Metal Live in Concert in the Lyric at the Skyway Theatre on Thursday, September 26th, 2024!

Fear: humanity’s great divider, but also its most potent unifier. It’s this very notion that lies at the beating core of Polaris’s third album Fatalism; a record shaped by the sense of despair and dystopia that engulfed the world over the past few years, and the overwhelming accompanying sensation that we were powerless to change course. Equally steeped in angst and catharsis, an expanded thematic gaze and heavier sonic terrain, Fatalism organically builds on the bleak imagery and hard-hitting soundscapes permeating Polaris’s ARIA Award-nominated 2020 release The Death of Me, galvanizing the Sydney five-piece’s trademark blend of melodic metalcore, lush post rock, electronic flourishes and beyond.

After a four-year hiatus, blessthefall, the Arizona quartet consisting of Beau Bokan, Eric Lambert, Jared Warth, and Elliott Gruenberg, is making a comeback with a series of singles and their upcoming seventh album. Despite their time away, the band has discovered that their music continues to resonate with fans, who have been influenced by their music in a positive way. Their previous albums achieved significant success, with multiple top chart positions and millions of streams. After taking a break to recharge and reconnect, the band felt a renewed passion for their music and began writing again. Their first single, “Wake The Dead,” embodies their energetic comeback and signals their return with a vengeance. The members of blessthefall acknowledge the impact the band has had on their lives, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to live their dream and create music, which they find to be a truly special experience.

Thousand Below’s vulnerable, ambient, yet ultimately hopeful self-examination of loss, life and healing is an enduring theme resonating in the band’s signature sound. The range within their genre is an homage to the band’s intimate experience through the stages of grief. The American quartet– James DeBerg [vocals], Josh Thomas [guitar], Josh Billimoria [Bass], and Max Santoro [drums]– descend into the visceral anger and raw anguish echoing throughout their lyrically-jarring debut album The Love You Let Too Close, followed by the somber instrumentation of an ultimately quieter emotional discourse in their sophomore album Gone In Your Wake. Their newest EP, Let Go Of Your Love, persists as a reflective introspection to the narrative of their second album, and demonstrates a maturity of sound.

We are Nerv, a 4-piece genre-bending rock band residing in California. The band’s members are originally from all over the US with vocalist Dillon Jones (Sacramento, CA), guitarists Jordan Grokett and Scott Buchanan (Dallas, TX) and drummer Tyler Clark (Atlanta, GA). Nerv burst onto the scene in November 2017 with their heavy hitting debut single ‘Enough’. Then in Spring 2018 the band released their highly successful debut EP ‘Bad Habits’, working with producer Erik Ron (I Prevail, Godsmack, Hollywood Undead). In October of 2022, Nerv released their long-awaited debut full length album, ‘We’re All Patients Here’.
